Monsters, Inc. Halloween Decor and Activities at Disneyland Hotels

Disneyland Resort has introduced new seasonal offerings for the 2026 Halloween season, focusing on Pixar Place Hotel and guest activities across the three onsite properties.

What's new

Pixar Place Hotel is featuring its first-ever *Monsters, Inc.*-inspired Halloween decorations. The displays, created by Disney artist Brett Snodgrass in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios, feature characters like Mike and Sulley in festive costumes. The artwork incorporates iconic elements from the 2001 film, such as the scare floor doors, and fictional treats like "Bog Water Taffy."

For guests staying at the hotels, a complimentary trick-or-treat trail is available on select days. Participants receive a wristband, a treat bag, and a guide to find candy locations across the resort's three hotels.

Additionally, Disney has released a series of downloadable wallpapers for phones, desktops, and smartwatches based on the new hotel artwork.

When and where

The Halloween season at Disneyland Resort runs through October 31, 2026. The specific *Monsters, Inc.* decorations are located in the lobby of Pixar Place Hotel.

The trick-or-treat trails take place on select dates in October at all three Disneyland Resort hotels. The current hotel room discount, offering up to 20% off select rooms for stays of three nights or more, is valid for travel dates between October 11 and December 18, 2026.

What it means for your visit

If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel this October, you can access exclusive seasonal activities without entering the theme parks. To participate in the trick-or-treat trail, you must visit the Front Desk of your hotel to sign up and collect your required wristband and bag.

Visitors not staying at Pixar Place Hotel can still view the new decor by visiting the lobby or stopping by The Sketch Pad Café for seasonal pastries. Because these decorations are new for this year, the lobby may be more crowded than usual with fans looking to see the details and "spot favorite Monsters, Inc. friends" hidden in the designs.

If you are planning a late-year trip, check your travel dates against the 20% discount offer, as it extends past the Halloween season into mid-December, provided you book a minimum of three nights.
