    New Music and Character Coming to Alien Swirling Saucers

    Disney is updating the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The update introduces a new character, Lilypad, a frog-shaped smart tablet appearing in the upcoming film *Toy Story 5*.

    Starting Friday, September 25, the attraction will feature a new soundtrack titled "Lilypad’s Jams." The music includes remixes of classic songs from the *Toy Story* franchise alongside original tracks created specifically for the ride.

    What’s new

    The update centers on Lilypad, who acts as a DJ for the attraction. The new soundtrack, recorded in Nashville, spans multiple genres including pop, country, EDM, and alt-rock.

    Guests will hear reimagined versions of familiar songs such as:

    * "You’ve Got a Friend in Me"

    * "We Belong Together"

    * "I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away"

    New original songs include "Pizza Planet Promo" and "Spin It Back, Lilypad." Additionally, the experience extends to guests waiting in the queue or walking through Toy Story Land. Lilypad will provide off-board entertainment by introducing tracks, playing drawing games, and sharing puzzles and videos on her screen.

    When and where

    These changes take place at Alien Swirling Saucers in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

    * September 25: The new soundtrack and Lilypad character debut.

    * November 4 – January 6: A special holiday playlist will replace the standard music. This festive lineup includes "Deck the Halls," "Toyland," "Swirling, Swirling, Saucers," and "Joy to the Swirl."

    What it means for your visit

    If you are visiting Hollywood Studios in late September or during the holiday season, expect Alien Swirling Saucers to be more popular than usual as fans of the franchise check out the new music and *Toy Story 5* tie-ins.

    Because the new entertainment features—such as the digital puzzles and home videos—are visible to those not riding, you can experience part of the update without waiting in line. However, if you want to hear the full high-energy remixes while spinning, plan to ride early in the morning or use Disney Genie+ (if available) to avoid peak midday wait times.

    According to Thomas Niederhiser of Walt Disney Imagineering, the goal was to create songs that are "singable, sincere and a little cheesy," which may make the attraction more engaging for younger children who enjoy singing along.
