What's new
Disney has announced the return of Typhoon Lagoon Water Park for the 2027 winter season. Along with the reopening, Disney is offering a Water Park Seasonal Pass that allows for repeat visits through the spring. This pass includes admission to the water parks as well as additional perks for holders, such as one round of miniature golf before 4 p.m. at either Winter Summerland or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf. Passholders also receive a 20% discount on same-day rentals for Polar Patios or Beachcomber Shacks when booked in person at the park.
When and where
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is located at Walt Disney World Resort and will officially reopen to guests on January 27, 2027.
Currently, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is the active water park for guests and will remain open through January 26, 2027.
The Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass is available for purchase now and is valid for use through May 15, 2027. However, the pass includes specific blockout dates where it cannot be used:
* February 19–21, 2027
* March 20–28, 2027
Pricing
The Seasonal Pass is priced based on the age of the guest:
* Ages 10 and older: $89 plus tax
* Ages 3 to 9: $83 plus tax
What it means for your visit
If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World in late January or throughout the spring of 2027, you should account for the transition between water parks. Because Blizzard Beach closes the day before Typhoon Lagoon opens, there is no overlap where both parks are available simultaneously.
For those visiting for more than one day or planning a longer spring stay, the Seasonal Pass may offer better value than individual day tickets, especially considering the included round of mini-golf. If you intend to use the pass during the busy President's Day weekend or the late-March spring break window, be aware of the blockout dates and plan to visit the main theme parks or purchase standard admission on those days instead.
Upon reopening, guests can expect all major attractions to be operational, including the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, the Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster, and the Castaway Creek lazy river. Families with small children should head toward Ketchakiddee Creek, which features scaled-down attractions specifically for younger guests.
