Disney is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh with new merchandise and a highlight of character experiences available at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

    What's new

To commemorate the centennial, Disney has released a brand-new line of Winnie the Pooh merchandise. These items, including apparel, accessories, and plush toys, are available at DisneyStore.com and select retail locations within the theme parks.

At Walt Disney World, the "Magic of Disney Animation" at Disney’s Hollywood Studios now features specific nods to Pooh and his friends. Additionally, visitors can find a golden "Fab 50" statue of Pooh and Piglet located near The Crystal Palace on Main Street, U.S.A.

    When and where

These experiences are currently available across the U.S. resorts:

    Walt Disney World Resort

    * Magic Kingdom: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction remains open in Fantasyland. Character meet-and-greets for Pooh and Tigger take place at "The Thotful Spot." For dining, The Crystal Palace offers a character buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Shopping is available at Hundred Acre Goods.

    * EPCOT: Winnie the Pooh meets guests in the United Kingdom pavilion. The Toy Soldier shop also carries themed merchandise.

    * Disney Springs: World of Disney and Disney Ever After carry the latest centennial collections.

    Disneyland Resort

    * Disneyland Park: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction and the Pooh Corner sweets shop are located in Bayou Country. Pooh and his friends make appearances for photos and autographs outside of Pooh Corner throughout the day.

    * Downtown Disney: The World of Disney store serves as a primary location for the new anniversary merchandise.

What it means for your visit

If you are planning a trip during the centennial celebration, keep these tips in mind to maximize your time with the Hundred-Acre Wood crew:

    * Book Dining Early: The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom is a popular character dining location. Disney recommends booking reservations in advance to guarantee a table.

    * Check Character Times: Meet-and-greet appearances for Pooh and Tigger occur at "select times" throughout the day. Check the official app or park signage for specific daily schedules at The Thotful Spot (Magic Kingdom), the United Kingdom pavilion (EPCOT), and Bayou Country (Disneyland).

    * Merchandise Availability: New anniversary items are often high-demand. If you are looking for specific centennial collectibles, visit World of Disney at Disney Springs or Downtown Disney early in your trip, as these locations typically carry the widest selection.

    * Attraction Access: The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is a family-friendly ride with no height requirement, making it a high-traffic area for families with small children. Consider riding early in the morning or during parade times to avoid peak wait times.
